Dr. Janis, Thanks! I am so grateful . . .
The first picture was taken on July 29th, 2006. My husband and I were hiking at Hidden Falls in the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. The second picture is us snow shoeing in Dillon, Co., December, 2007 and the third picture is also my husband and I at the top of King’s Pinnacle, Crowders Mountain, North Carolina in February of 2008. Now I have the ability to do all this after 10 years of inactivity because of the deterioration of my ankles from severe osteoarthritis. I have slowly, but surely, re-claimed my life after receiving two Total Ankle Replacement surgeries from you.
Thanks so much to you and your staff for all you have done for me. I am so very grateful!
Sincerely, Mary Emick
To Dr. Janis,
And everyone at Total Foot and Ankle of Ohio, Thanks for giving me back my freedom and ability to work again!
After severely fracturing my ankle in a motorcycle accident, I was looking at a life of disability. With an InBone Technologies TAR by Dr. Janis it has given me back my freedom and ability to work again. I would like to thank Dr. Janis and his staff for all their hard work and dedication to me through my case.

Dr. Janis,
I recommend you to everyone that has an ankle problem.
One year ago on August 29th, 2007 you performed ankle surgery on my left ankle and replaced the joint with an implant manufactured by INBONE TECHNOLOGIES.
The procedure has succeeded for beyond the expectations I had before the surgery. I was hoping to be able to walk somewhat normally and not endure the burning sensations that occurred in my ankle prior to surgery. Dr. Janis steadfastly said that I would be able to play golf again with no limitations other than the golf handicap that I was saddled with before surgery. I am able to and have played 36 holes a day on many occasions with no lingering effects. I can walk distances of my choosing with any problems. I am able to work, have no limitations to stairs, uneven ground and just doing normal things that a person with sound joints take for granted.
Finding Dr. Janis was one of those serendipitous moments. I felt comfortable with him immediately and his expertise has been more that appreciated. Anyone considering a replacement, INBONE is the joint that they should be using.
Thank you Dr. Janis, your residents, and office staff. You all are wonderful and I recommend you to everyone that has an ankle problem.

Dr. Leonard Janis and his Staff,
In 1998 I broke my ankle and it never healed right. After that, I learned what I could and could not do without pain and soon the pain was constant. Life before my ankle replacement meant never shopping except for necessary items and then only a half hour at a time. It also meant that my lifestyle changed in every aspect from not being able to walk around the block to not being able to do yard work. Even driving a car meant I was in pain and the constant pain pills did nothing to stop the pain. A local doctor told me I was headed for a wheelchair.
Today, a year later, I can do my daily chores, shopping, laundry, walk around the block and yard work without pain. It also means I can enjoy camping, biking, and playing outdoor games with my grandchildren. I never realized that I took that many pain pills until I cleaned out a drawer last month. Any time I had a question of concern, Dr. Janis and his staff treated me very well and any question was answered. I thank Dr. Janis and his staff for changing my life.

Dr. Janis and his Staff,
I started having problems with ankle pain in 2005. My family doctor and I thought it was probably arthritis caused by injuries I sustained years earlier. I was started on a regimen of arthritis medication and for a time it seemed to help.
In August of 2007 the pain became so severe I was unable to walk without crutches and had to use pain killers all the time. I heard of Dr. Janis through a friend who had his ankle replaced by him. After consultation and x-rays done by Dr. Janis, it was determined that my ankle was so badly worn that my only option was total ankle replacement. Surgery was done in September 2007. I followed the doctor’s orders to the letter- No weight-bearing for ten weeks. Today I can honestly say that I am able to do anything I want pain free.
Dr. Janis and his staff have been wonderful to both my family and I. I can never thank them enough for giving me back a quality of life I haven’t had in years.
Thank You! Jim Markin
